Hi all,

OTP 2011 is done!

Gie schould be on the way to Belgium.

I have arrived safely at home.

With tears in my eyes I have to thank for all this great
companianship !!!

All my thanks going to:

Hans Ove Goertz, who initiate this event and managed the nomination,

election and the counting votes.

Ted Adcock and his wife, who organized our trip very well and became
a good friend

during the organisation and the National in Vermont.

Rick Hall, who picked me up and let me have some very nice days in
the Rocky Mountains

together with other COG members. He was my host for two nights and my
guide

on our long journey to Lincoln, Nebraska in the heat of more than 100
° F.

He provided me with some stuff and a lot of tips and organised a
barbeque with Brad, Phil and Steve

and collected some additional money for us.

Chris Baum and his Family, where I feeled at home.

Chris provided a bed for 4 nights and organised the Kawasaki Plant
visit

as well as the honor for me to have the first pitch at a baseball
game of the Lincoln Saltdogs.

He organised a local COG member Party and collected some additional
money for us.

Chris guided Gie and me for a lot of miles and brought me finally to
the Airport.

Many greetings to Steff, Jacob and Avri. I had a lot of fun with your
kids and warm feelings

for all of your family.

KAWASAKI Motors US and Vic Salisbury, who organized and provided a
new C 14 for me,

which gave me so much fun and worked very well. I am proud to
increased the milage

for another 5.300 miles.

Harry van der Laan, who pledged his private C 10 on which I did 800
miles and Gie the rest.

Both bikes have been in a very good condition, when we got it, and we
could bring them back

whithout any damages or major scratches. They did a good job

We had so much fun with it without any excident, damage or drop down.

Michael Aldea, who provided so beautiful routes for us, which made it
easy for us to enjoy it.

He guided us for a day ride in Vermont and introduced us to all
important persons during

the rally.

Ted Spencer, who collected the money and sent it over to me.

Harry Martin, who provided some T-Shirts for OTP and the Logo for
them and come to Lions,

where we met and spent an night toghether with Phil in "Gram's
Bunkhouse".

Phil Tarman and Steve Cook, who guided me and Gie through the Rockies
and Gie

from Nebraska to Colorado.

Kevin Cummings, who did 3 days ride in the heat wave to guide and
host us.

Gary Murphy, who provided a hotel room, dinner and some stuff for us.
next day he guided us

the half way.

Bob Dombrowne and his wife, who was our host and provided a nice
dinner in a nearby restaurant.

We met him again on the National.

Frank Hunt, who guided us into Washington DC, where we visited the
space museum and

met Russel Fleming & Martha who guided us to some nice roads in
direction of Baltimore and

Arthur Boyd, Baltimore, where we had a nice dimmer and a dry bed
after getting some rain in a

thunderstorm. He guided us to the truck stop, where we meet

Dennis Robbins who guided us to the Liberty Statue Park and into New
York City and showed us

Ground Zero and some other important points there. We met him again
on ther COG National and had another ride together.

Patrick Gallaway, where we get sleeping rooms within Manhattan and a
nice dinner in a New York

Jazz Club after a nice walk through down town.

He guided us using nice roads to West Point Academy and to the COG
National in Vermont.

Steve Smith, who upgraded our small room in Mount Snow Summit Hotel
and

all the participants who pledged money, T-shirts, beers and gave us
the oppotunity to learn

how COGers do.

Thanks for the possipility to give a short adress to the members and
participants during the banquet dinner.

John Sexton and his wife Elfriede, who provided a nice guest room in
his wonderful house, a selfmade

delicious dinner and an opulent breakfast. John made a sightseeing by
car to Holland and Saugatuck together with us and showed us his area..

John Hoogewerf, who brought us to down town Chicago at beautiful
weather and provided a Greek dinner. We had a nice evening and some
beers together. Next day he guided us for a while on our journey to
Lincoln again.

The Police of Vermont and Nebraska who catched us twice after
speeding

for not providing us with a ticket.

last but not least:

Gie Lambeir, wo was already a good friend before.

He did what he was adviced by my wife Anette with success:

to take care that nothing happens to me on our long trip of 9.500 km
throughout the

Midlands, East and Northeast of the USA and Ontario in Canada.

Gie, you have been a good nanny and buddy!

CU in some days again on the European GTR Rally in the Carpathien
Mountains.

Hopefully you can complete the list of all great names who did this
all for us!

Thanks to all who give their votes, money and time, prepare T-Shirts,
Stickers, Logos, Pins ...

to make this happened for us.

Thanks to my wife Anette and my daughter Jenny,

who had to be alone at home for all this long time,

but supported the idea and let me go now again

to the European Rally!

Without the help of both it wouldn't be possible to do.

I am very proud to be a member of this great communitiy.

Yes, it was the trip of my lifetime!

Bernd
