Hello to all,

besides the Avon you also can use the METZELER Lasertec 150/80 B 16 - 71 W, a
tyre I used 3 times with an average mileage of around 7500 km, but I was riding
long distance rides on motorways for the biggest part of the time. I have no
experience how the tyre behaves when riding a sporty style, because as long one
is riding with the GCE the speed is far away from sporty riding. But for this
year and the next years I want to check out this by running the curvy roads in
my surrounding in Salzburg as well as in Lower Austria. (my old GTR 1000 still
is registered with the same number plate thats runs on the GTR 1400).

Hallo Kudi,

The roadtec is indeed a good choice for the GTR. I had the Z6 several times on
my GTR’s and they lasted between 12000 – 15000 km, with excellent grip and
offering good stability, also in rain.

It’s a pity the Z4 is no longer available for ther rear wheel. Avon seems to
be the best choice at the moment.
Enjoy the roadtec and drive safe.
I have now the pilot road III on my BMW. Feels as good as the pilot road 2 or
the roadtecs , but claims to have a better mileage and better grip in the rain.
We’ll see, now 6000 km and still in good condition. But also not available for
the rear wheel of the GTR...

Hallo Freunde,
Im Harz hat mir Walter Kirchweger den Tip gegeben, meinen alternden
Vorderreifen Metzeler Lasertec durch einen Roadtec zu ersetzen. Danke Walter,
ich erkenne meine GTR nicht mehr, kein Flattern, keine Vibrationen. Ich habe den
Lenker bei 110 km/h bis runter auf 60 losgelassen, die Maschine läuft völlig
ruhig, Mit den lezten beiden Lasertec hatte ich um 70-80 immer ein Flattern,
Lenker loslassen war unmöglich, der hat sich gleich gefährlich aufgeschaukelt.
Wie ich schon erwähnt habe, bin ich auch mit der Kilometerleistung
unzufrieden, mit dem letzten Lasertec habe ich gerade mal 5000 Kilometer
gemacht.
Nun hoffe ich, dass die neue Serie besser ist und freue mich schon riesig auf
den Allgäu.
